Just two months after giving birth to her son, Adela Nohemy Castellanos is locked away at the Dilley Trailer Prison with her 10-year-old daughter, Sofia. They are separated from dad and three other siblings.

Adela can’t tolerate the food, is very stressed, and can’t sleep. Dilley is no place for a woman recovering from childbirth.

Her attorneys have appealed her deportation. Locking up a mother and her child doesn’t make our country safer. It only makes a family suffer. Hopefully their appeal will be granted.
