ICHRP-US calls for the immediate release of Filipino singer Mark Mabasa!

Mark was detained by ICE at LAX on September 21, 2026. Mabasa is the son of the late Percy Lapid, radio journalist and vocal critic of Marcos and Duterte who was killed by unnamed gunmen in Paranaque in 2022.

ICHRP-US stands with Mark Mabasa, his family and all unjustly detained migrants fighting for their freedom. We demand Mabasa’s immediate release from detention, and call on people in the US to support the Filipino people struggle to end the conditions that force Filipinos to leave their homelands in the first place!
