justinthenickofcrime On July 17, 2026, a driver traveling on Highway 211 near Woodburn, Oregon, reported being pulled over by an SUV using red and blue emergency-style lights. According to Oregon State Police, two men got out of the vehicle, one reportedly carrying a rifle. They identified themselves as ICE agents and told the driver they were being detained. The driver was allegedly forced out of their vehicle, searched and placed in the back of the suspects’ SUV. Police say a third person was inside the SUV and allegedly assaulted the driver while they were being held there. After approximately 15–20 minutes, the suspects released the driver. The victim later went to a hospital for treatment of injuries reportedly sustained during the incident. The suspects reportedly wore face coverings, green long-sleeved shirts, boots, baseball caps and tactical vests marked “POLICE.” They also reportedly carried badges marked “Police” and were driving a newer blue or gray SUV without visible license plates. Authorities later confirmed that the individuals were not federal law enforcement officers. The Oregon State Police and FBI are investigating the incident as an alleged impersonation of federal agents and assault. There was also another development. While the victim was receiving treatment at a hospital, they reportedly began receiving text messages from a number claiming to represent a law firm offering legal assistance related to the incident.
