Phone footage shows him being carried in a stretcher to an ambulance with bandages around his head. ㅤ After the attack, he was hospitalized and needed stitches for the injury to his head. ㅤ And in addition to not letting his wife visit him at the hospital, ICE also lied to her. An officer told her he had fallen -- not that they violently knocked him to the ground. ㅤ Now ICE is holding him captive at a concentration camp in Taylor, Texas, where they are denying him a medical exam. ㅤ Congressman Joaquin Castro posted an update today calling for his immediate release. ㅤ He told the Congressman that his arm is broken in addition to the injury to his head. ㅤ Pedro Mendoza Chávez deserves to be at home with his family, recovering from this unjustifiable act of violence. ㅤ Instead, ICE is holding him captive in a cruel environment, denying him medical care, and won't even let him see his family.
