Guillermo "Memo" Gallardo Barrera has spent over a year in ICE custody following a routine Gilbert traffic stop—and his family fears that without proper medical care or release, he won't make it out of the Florence Correctional Center alive.
Prior to his detention, Barrera was healthy. Now, he relies on a cane to walk, deals with severe numbness and pain, and says facility officials have failed to provide a diagnosis or adequate treatment.
