Now he's paralyzed. ㅤ Gabriel Johnson is enduring medical neglect within ICE captivity that resulted in the entire left side of his body becoming paralyzed. ㅤ For over 16 days, ICE denied him consistent food, water, and the medication he needs to manage his health. ICE agents laughed at him when he asked for the care he needed. ㅤ On July 30th, Gabriel called his family and reported that he was not being given food or water, and that he was painfully shackled at the hands and feet. ㅤ His family then received a call from a Texas hospital informing them that he had a stroke on the left side of his body. ㅤ He is completely paralyzed now due to the medical neglect and abuse he is experiencing in ICE captivity. ㅤ With what little strength he could summon, he was able to tell a hospital employee his daughter's phone number -- but ICE refused to let the employee make the call. "He might tell you what room he's in," an agent said. ㅤ Two days ago, his family was finally able to visit him, traveling across the country for just a one-hour visit.
