#repost @wearechuffed ➡️ Noor Nafea Salman is a 28-year-old lawful U.S. permanent resident who came to the United States as a refugee when she was 17.

She graduated from James Madison University and was studying medicine at the University of Virginia before she was taken into ICE detention during what she believed would be a routine immigration check-in.

Noor is married to Khaled, a Palestinian-American U.S. citizen, and her mother and five siblings are all U.S. citizens. More than eight months later, she remains detained. Her health has deteriorated significantly, and her family continues fighting for her release while facing overwhelming legal costs.
