ctulocal1 Our hearts are with Josue Pire Hidalgo, his wife and children, the students he serves and the entire Farnsworth Elementary community. ❤️ Josue is a CPS custodian, a dedicated worker and a beloved member of his school community. He and his family applied for asylum, obtained work permits, paid taxes and attended what they believed would be a routine immigration appointment. ICE still detained him anyway, separating a father from his family. Trump and ICE are terrorizing our Black and brown immigrant communities. No family should endure this fear. No child should wonder whether their parent will come home. Families belong together. We join Josue’s family, his school community and SEIU Local 73 in demanding his immediate release.
