Analilia Mejia (D-NJ) visited her, she said Margarita was receiving only about a quarter of her diabetes medication. Her doctor and pharmacy had not been contacted, while her family’s concerns were ignored. Her case gained national attention after Mejia and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries raised concerns about her treatment.
