On the morning of July 8, he was detained by ICE, leaving his family and friends worried and desperate for answers. For hours, we had no idea where he was or what had happened to him. Max has never been in trouble with the law—he has never even gotten a ticket or been pulled over. He is someone who cares deeply for his family and community, and his sudden detention has left us all feeling lost and anxious. We are raising funds to help cover the legal fees needed to secure a lawyer for Max, as well as rent for his new apartment where he lived with his sister and me. The situation has also left him in need of commissary funds while he is detained. Your support will help us ensure that Max has access to the resources he needs to fight for his freedom and to keep his family safe and stable during this difficult time.
