Jessica Treviño, a DACA recipient and LUPE member since 2014 was on her way to church with her husband and daughter when she was aggressively detained by ICE. After spending months in detention, Jessica was wrongfully and unlawfully deported to Mexico despite her DACA not expiring until 2027.

Today, Jessica is still displaced in Mexico. Her children remain in Texas, facing the immense heartbreak of only seeing their mother on weekend visits to Mexico. Every Sunday evening, Jessica is brought to tears as her children return to the U.S. without her. They are struggling in school and deeply missing their mother’s care.

Jessica followed every rule to build a life here. Now, her family is left fighting to undo a devastating injustice and bring her home.

Her case underscores the need for permanent solutions to those who have DACA.

Hoy en día, Jessica sigue desplazada en México. Sus hijos permanecen en Texas, enfrentando el inmenso dolor de ver a su madre únicamente durante visitas de fin de semana a México. Cada domingo por la tarde, Jessica rompe a llorar cuando sus hijos regresan a Estados Unidos sin ella. Ellos atraviesan dificultades escolares y extrañan profundamente los cuidados de su madre.

Jessica cumplió con todas las normas para construir una vida aquí. Ahora, su familia lucha por revertir una injusticia devastadora y traerla de vuelta a casa.
