Emanuel Rodrigues was freed today after being held for 5 months at Delaney Hall because he’s not a U.S. citizen.

Emanuel is very sick and can’t walk. He says he took a bad fall after a guard told him he wasn’t allowed to use crutches.

His wife, Anna, was afraid to enter Delaney Hall, so NJ.com’s Daysi Calavia-Robertson volunteered to help. That’s @presspassdaysi pushing Emanuel’s wheelchair.
