Marvin Godoy Calderon was sitting in his Hyundai parked in front of his Sunnyside home on the morning of May 27 when a dark SUV pulled up behind him. A group of masked ICE agents ordered him to exit the car. When Calderon asked for a warrant, he was forcibly yanked and pressed facedown on the asphalt. Three agents surrounded him — one with a knee on his left shoulder, one on his right, one on his neck — while two pinned his arms behind his back and struck him across the back and head.
Calderon immigrated to San Francisco four years ago from Peru, works two jobs, and possesses a legal work permit valid through 2030.
After being driven to immigration court then a processing facility several hours away, Calderon was released 13 hours after he first came into contact with ICE.
