PSL Statement: Orange County must cease it’s collaboration with ICE, terminate the 287(g) agreement immediately!
On May 9th, Uncle Lou was kidnapped by ICE at his business establishment. He is currently held in Orange County jail without criminal charges. We condemn the county and city for allowing the raid of private property without a warrant. Lou is a legend in the Orlando nightlife and music scene. This cruel kidnapping of Lou was to send a message that none of us are safe. We must demand that Orange County do more to terminate the 287(g) agreement.
We must continue to organize and make our political demands heard at the county level! We will also attach the link in bio to Uncle Lou’s Gofundme to contribute for his legal defense. We won’t tolerate until Uncle Lou is free and the local government is held accountable for allowing these ICE raids in our community spaces.
