ICE detention centers are being expanded with billions in taxpayer dollars while people with no criminal record are being subjected to horrifying abuse.

@repyassansari shared the story of her constituent Yari, a legal permanent resident battling leukemia who was detained by ICE for months without proper medical care. Yari was denied adequate water and cancer treatment, and it took nearly six months before ICE allowed her to see an oncologist outside the facility.

This isn’t about public safety. It’s about fear, profit, and treating human beings as disposable.
