This story honestly made my stomach turn.

A man in an ICE detention center had his finger bitten off by another detainee… and instead of getting immediate medical care, he was put in solitary confinement.

No antibiotics. No real treatment. For a year.

His infection got so bad that it burst open while he was sleeping—black pus coming out onto his face—and when he asked for help, they handed him toilet paper.

Toilet paper.

By the time he finally saw a doctor, the damage was already done. He still can’t properly use his hand.

And this isn’t an isolated situation—this is part of a federal lawsuit exposing inhumane and unconstitutional conditions inside these facilities.

No matter how you feel about immigration, no human being should be treated like this.
