stopaapihate Immigrant advocates in Oregon are raising the alarm about a concerning pattern: Hmong and Laotian people — including many refugee families who risked their lives to help the U.S. military — are being increasingly targeted for detention and deportation by ICE. In the 1960s-70s, many Hmong and Laotian people were recruited by the CIA to support America's Secret War in Laos. This put many families in danger of government persecution. They were forced into refugee camps, and eventually resettled in the U.S. Now, the Trump regime is turning its back on this vulnerable community. Nationwide, Trump deported nearly 400 Laotian individuals in the past year alone.
