wcaxtv JUST IN: Three protesters taken into custody at last month’s volatile Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation in South Burlington will not face charges. The Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office says the actions of the three arrested by the Vermont State Police were not any more or less disorderly than other protesters engaging in the same behavior. The decision comes after authorities reviewed body camera footage showing the actions of those protesters. Chittenden County State’s Attorney Sarah George says none of the three suspects had a criminal record. The Burlington Police made three other arrests. Those cases have been referred to the Burlington Community Justice Center, meaning if the suspects complete certain required programming, their cases could be expunged. 🔗 Full story available at the link in our bio.
