What started as her trying to reach him turned into a traumatic situation—she was taken to the ground, injured, and handcuffed in front of her children. Her kids, ages 9 and 1, witnessed everything. Since then, they have been scared and struggling to understand what happened. Michelle was later released, but her husband remains detained, leaving her to care for their children on her own. Michelle has been a stay-at-home mom, and this situation has put her in an incredibly difficult place both emotionally and financially.
