Her name is Olivia. She’s 19.

She lost her 9-year-old little brother during the journey here—and still kept going. Graduated early. Worked while in school. Became a CNA. Started building a future in healthcare.

She did everything people say you’re supposed to do.

And still… she ended up in ICE detention.

For 5 months.

In an orange jumpsuit. In shackles.

Her mom and siblings were released—but because she’s 19, they kept her behind like she’s not still a kid, like she’s not human.

She’s lost 20 pounds. She barely eats. She cries at night. She can’t sleep. She no longer has access to the medication she needed for PTSD. She’s dealing with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts—alone.

She said, “I feel a huge emptiness inside.”

This isn’t about politics. This is about humanity.

She is innocent. She has a strong asylum case. She should be living her life, continuing her education, becoming the nurse she dreamed of being.

Instead, she’s fighting to survive.

Say her name. Share her story. Don’t look away.
