On February 18th, federal immigration agents detained Juan Chavez Velasco on his way to deliver milk to his premature newborn in the hospital.

DACA provides protection from deportation and work authorization to people who immigrated to the U.S. when they were children. But the Department of Homeland Security is moving slowly to renew DACA, causing fathers like Juan to fall out of status and making them vulnerable to ICE.

📢 End the detention of DACA recipients and all immigrants. Delays and uncertainty make one thing clear: permanent protections are overdue!
