hereswhykevin Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee announced DHS has reported another death in ICE detention. This is at least the 15th death of a detainee in ICE custody so far in 2026. This year is on pace to be the deadliest year ever for immigrants in detention — last year set the record with 32 deaths total. DHS is legally obligated to report these incidents to Congress before making the information publicly available on their website. The most recent death occurred on March 30th when Jose Guadalupe Ramos-Solano died in an ICE detention facility in Los Angeles. His family is demanding answers because they have yet to see his body. Jose lived in the U.S. for 28 years. - - - #HeresWhy #BreakingNews #Immigration #AbolishICE #Immigrants View all 204 comments
