enrique_acm I was brought to the U.S. as a three-year-old, and I grew up here, loving the country, my work, and my family. I was a subcontractor, working toward becoming a general contractor, while also cherishing time with my daughters and staying dedicated to the gym. But my life changed in an instant—I was stopped by a state trooper on the way home, just for a license plate light issue. After that, he took me into custody, ignoring my lack of license, simply because I had a Mexican passport. Everything spiraled—I ended up in an ICE processing center for three months, with constant court moves and heavy emotional pressure to give up. But I didn’t. I fought for my family until my fourth and final court, where my chance at a bond closed. Still, I was granted voluntary departure, so now, after 24 years, I’m in Mexico for the first time since I was a child. I’m documenting this whole journey, from day one, as I navigate this new life, stay strong, showing yall how I can still run my business from home .And holding on to hope that one day, I’ll be back with my family—still fighting, still growing. Now I’m just going to wait on my residency here in Mexico #méxico #fyp #family #usareels #fyp
