reprorights Neysis was in ICE custody six months pregnant with twins when she started having painful contractions, according to reporting from the @LAtimes . Instead of the compassionate care that any person experiencing a miscarriage deserves, officers shackled Neysis to a hospital bed. At one of the most vulnerable moments of her life, she was denied the care and human dignity she deserved. What’s happening inside these facilities is dangerous and it is wrong. We’re calling on members of Congress to visit ICE detention centers and investigate the conditions in which pregnant detainees and others are being held.
