indivisible.utah.county A 7-year-old Utah girl is stuck in Colombia right now. Lucia, from Murray, traveled with her dad (a U.S. citizen) to complete the required immigration process. What should have been a short trip has turned into a nightmare. At their embassy appointment, her visa was denied — and now she can’t return home to Utah. According to her mom, they were following the steps they were given, including leaving and reentering through a port of entry. She says Lucia already had approval through the I-130 process and even has a Social Security number. Her family says they’ve been told the only way for her to return may require a high-level federal waiver. Right now, they’re working with lawyers and Utah’s congressional delegation to try to bring her home. She should be in school. She should be with her family. Instead, she’s stuck in another country. This isn’t about left or right. It’s about a little girl who needs to come home. Please call: 👉 Rep. Burgess Owens (801) 999-9801 👉 Sen. Mike Lee (801) 524-5933 👉 Sen. John Curtis (801) 524-4380 Ask them to help bring Lucia home. It takes 2 minutes. People matter more than politics. Source in comments View all 17 comments
