Reports say they were in plain clothes, refused to show identification, and detained him on the spot. His daughter—who is a U.S. citizen—spoke up, and was told: “That doesn’t matter.” She was injured in the process. He was taken in a white van. And his family still doesn’t have clear answers. This isn’t just about one family. This is about what happens when people try to do things the “right” way… and still end up disappeared into a system with no transparency. We’re told to trust the process. But what happens when the process doesn’t even show its face? And the scariest part? This isn’t isolated. There have already been reports of ICE detaining people at courthouses in Tennessee after traffic violations—people showing up, thinking they’re resolving something minor, and instead getting taken into custody.
