A week after Wulfrano Portillo’s deportation, his family stood beside his wife at La Hermosa Church’s Wednesday service, singing through the grief.
Wulfrano Portillo had served as a pastor at La Hermosa Church in east Tulsa for 24 years. He was detained March 10 at a routine immigration check-in and deported the next day.
