I spent 9 days in ICE detention and it was the worst days of my life. My case was eventually terminated because I had filed the necessary paperwork with USCIS (I’m married to a US citizen, that’s why we were at our green card interview) The whole experience was beyond traumatic. I am diabetic TYPE 1 and was denied insulin to a point where my blood sugar went over 500. I was near losing my life.
