We have some heartbreaking news about Maria and her family. Unbeknownst to anyone, including her family, Maria was deported within 48 hours after being detained at her scheduled appointment. She was never taken to B-17 or B-18.

Maria is one of MANY families whose children have been used as collateral in the form of manipulation and deception to carry out this administration's white supremacist-laced-agenda.

We also would like to take this moment to remind everyone that while we all sat in front of the TV to watch Benito's beautiful and moving performance, there are thousands of people, of all ages that are currently being held in extremely cruel and inhumane conditions. There are currently people who see no end in sight to their nightmare. It is so easy to detach ourselves from the trauma we are witnessing every day but please do not lose the same passion that you had a couple of weeks ago when we took to the streets in the name of justice for Renee Good. We must help people while they are still alive.

To those who hold the position of power...Who are we trying to please and what are we trying to accomplish by trying to ask for reformation of these agencies that are causing death and destruction? Why are we asking for reformation of this modern-day Gestapo who is clearly doing what they were set out to do.

Why is it so hard for our leaders to say Abolish 🧊? Why have we accepted punitive measures to be the status quo of how we treat our immigrant communities. The strongest leaders are those who will demand the abolition of 🧊, nothing less is appropriate.

We're asking for the public's help to reach out to @cagovernor and demand that every family, every victim, has adequate legal representation. We can attest that the non-profits are so overwhelmed, most are not taking any new clients and others have a 6-month waitlist.
