Breaking news. An American woman who was held for 25 days in ICE custody has been released, according to her attorney. Dulce Consuelo Morales Diaz was the victim of a so-called Kavanaugh Stop when she was taken into custody while speaking Spanish outside of a restaurant in Maryland. Despite a threshold of evidence to prove that she was born in America, the government has disputed it. And, even though she’s free now, Dulce could still be deported. Her attorney has filed a motion to get a hearing for the case to be dismissed, but the feds are fighting it.
