tmjnewsnetwork Sheikh Fouad Saeed Abdulkadir died at the Moshannon Valley Processing Center, an immigration detention facility located in Philadelphia, after spending 215 days in ICE custody. Originally from Eritrea and born in Saudi Arabia, he was a 46-year-old green card holder working as a Sheikh for the Islamic Centre of Northeast Ohio. He was pronounced dead on December 14, 2025. The Council on American Islamic Relations’ Ohio and Pennsylvania chapters stated: “Imam Fouad’s death underscores the deadly consequences of a detention system that routinely fails to provide adequate medical care, transparency, and basic human dignity."
