This Morning at Polly's Pies on Atlantic, ICE agents violently ambushed a gardener working outside the restaurant, and chased him inside. Restaurant patrons and employees watched in horror as he was tackled and forcibly removed.

This is just one of many reports we've heard today of ICE activity in our city.

Chaos and brutality on our streets like this is unacceptable. Workers in our city deserve a chance to make an honest living.

Residents deserve a chance to eat a peaceful breakfast, or take their kids to school without bearing witness to daily brutality.

We all deserve the right to support our families, to feel safe in our communities, and to live with dignity and stability.

This holiday season, as targeted and inhumane enforcement actions like these seem to escalate, we must look out for one another. If you see something, safely and smartly take action. Ask questions, record from a safe distance, document, use your first amendment rights to support your fellow neighbors in need.
