(KRCR)REDDING, Calif. — A protest was held in Redding on Wednesday after reports that immigration agents detained a local man over the weekend.The rally, held from 4 to 6 p.m. at Churn Creek Road and Cypress Avenue, followed a video posted on social media that appeared to show a man, identified as "Jose," being detained and taken away. The video has not been independently verified.The man’s sister told KRCR that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents came to his Redding apartment Saturday, Sept. 12, tackled him and took him away. Her account has not been independently verified.She said her brother is now being held at a Bakersfield detention center.
