Immigration attorneys say they have received at least five calls from families reporting that loved ones were detained during an immigration enforcement operation at a Nampa construction site.KTVB En Español obtained video that appears to show ICE agents detaining two men at the same subdivision on Cherry Grove. Construction workers at the site told KTVB that once people realized immigration agents were there, some left the job.Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Friday confirmed to KTVB that six people were arrested in what the agency described as a "targeted operation."The agency said all six people "have or will receive full due process," adding they will "remain in ICE custody pending their removal or removal proceedings."One worker, who asked not to be identified because of fear of backlash in the community, said he was sitting in his car when he saw three ICE vehicles arrive. He said about nine agents stayed inside their vehicles while monitoring the site."What I did was recline the seat, and that's why they didn't see me. But I was able to see that it was them," he said in Spanish. "They were wearing vests, they had radios, and their faces were also covered. The truck's windows are tinted."Nampa resident Abby Mosqueda said her cousin was among those detained. She said he was already working at the construction site when agents arrived Friday morning."They couldn't tell me where he was. I came here looking for him, and they wouldn't give me any information," Mosqueda said. "In fact, they didn't even open the door for me; they wouldn't let me come inside."The exact number of people detained was not immediately clear. However, KTVB independently confirmed two detainees through their families and ICE records. Immigration attorneys also told KTVB they received calls regarding at least five people who were reportedly taken into custody during the operation.Nampa Police and the Canyon County Sheriff's Office said they were not involved.Sources familiar with immigration enforcement expect more ICE worksite operations while the agency's temporary pause on most traffic stops remains in place. ICE implemented that pause earlier this month after two men died while in immigration custody.This is a developing story. KTVB will provide more information as it becomes available.
