Hasan Besharat was detained by ICE in Nashville in February. Almost seven months later, his attorney tells FOX13 he was released from the Detention Center in Mason.Besharat, who is from Iran, has lived in the United States for more than 50 years. Attorney Brandon Viele said he was under an order of supervision since 2004 and never missed a check-in.His order was revoked in February 2026, just before the nation's conflict began with Iran.In April, his family told FOX13 they were having trouble getting in contact with him.Viele said he was released Thursday afternoon, and is on his way back to Nashville with a loved one.
