An update on their condition was not immediately available, according to ABC affiliate WMUR 9.The border agent was not injured, a spokesperson said.The identities of the border agent and the person who was shot had not been revealed by Monday night.RECOMMENDED VIDEOSubject allegedly ‘opened fire’ on agentThe shots were fired near the port of entry on the U.S. side, Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott said via The Associated Press. Authorities said the FBI’s Boston field office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the District of New Hampshire will investigate the shooting.“Initial reports indicate that the subject opened fire on the agent, at which time the agent returned fire,” Scott said in a statement, via The Associated Press. “CBP is co-operating fully with investigators.”The FBI, CBP and U.S. Attorney’s Office did not provide additional details on the suspect or the circumstances that led to the shooting. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said they would release more information if the person ends up being charged.Pittsburg is about 240 km north of New Hampshire’s capital of Concord and the area borders Maine and Vermont as well.
