A truck rolled into the front of a Sterling home after an "unsuccessful traffic stop" by federal law enforcement agents Wednesday, Loudoun County Sheriff's Office confirmed.Local authorities said they were neither notified nor a part of the federal operation in Loudoun County Wednesday.It happened just after 6:45 a.m. Wednesday on the 900 block of Sherwood Court. Police and the fire and rescue department both responded to the incident, and found no one was injured.A deputy with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said when they arrived, they found out the crash happened as the result of an "unsuccessful traffic stop by federal agents." The sheriff's office did not specify which agency the federal law enforcement was with and said it is looking into the circumstances of that operation.Loudoun County Board of Supervisors Chair Phyllis Randall issued a statement on her Facebook page Wednesday afternoon breaking down what she knew about the Wednesday operation. In her post, she points out that as many as seven ICE agents were leaving when the sheriff's office arrived to assess property damage. She also said the ICE agents made no arrests.In an emailed statement to WUSA9, an ICE spokesperson said the man they were attempting to arrest had a criminal history that included DUI and robbery. The spokesperson said the person in the white pick-up truck fit the description of the wanted person."During the operation, officers attempted to stop a vehicle that was occupied by a person fitting the description of the target. During the vehicle stop, the driver and passenger of the target vehicle fled the scene without putting the vehicle in park. The vehicle subsequently rolled down a hill into an unrelated residence.
