Dear friends and family, It is with shattered hearts and deep humility that we reach out to you today for my brother-in-law, Javier. As some of you know, my sister Evette and her husband Javier, for the past 15 years have trusted the system, hired lawyers, filed appeals, and spent thousands of hard-earned dollars—all for one purpose: to legally secure his United States citizenship. He followed every rule, checked in with ICE without missing a single appointment, all while contributing positively to society. We never gave up hope that one day, he would finally hold that piece of paper that allowed him to live here comfortably without worry of deportation. But in one gut-wrenching moment, that hope was taken from us. At a routine check-in, Javier was handcuffed and detained. He is now locked in a detention center, facing deportation—ripped from the life he built and the family who adores him. Evette and their three daughters put on brave faces for the world, and carry a heavy, silent grief that no family should ever bear. Beyond the emotional toll they are now facing financial hardships. Without Javier here, my sister is carrying the full weight of mortgage, utilities, and essential daily living expenses on a single income. On top of this, we are fighting to get Javier the legal representation needed to explore every available option. Without strong representation, he has no voice in that courtroom. We are keeping high spirits and praying that Javier can return back home to his wife and girls. If you know him, you know he is a humble man, he’s private, so when you see this Ferm, I’m sorry but we love you and we are willing to do whatever it takes! He is a family man, an involved father, honesty and integrity without a doubt. He deserves to be with his family continuing to create memories where he calls home. We cannot do this alone, and we are humbly asking for your support and prayers. With love and gratitude, The Family
