Earlier this year, I was unexpectedly picked up by ICE and spent five months detained in Alligator Alcatraz. Being away from my home and community was incredibly difficult, and during that time, my apartment was left empty and vulnerable. Unfortunately, while I was gone, my apartment was robbed, and I lost all of my belongings. To make matters worse, I had no access to my bank accounts while I was detained, which led to my car being repossessed. Now that I am back, I am facing the challenge of rebuilding my life from the ground up. I am working hard to get back on my feet, but I need some help to cover the basics—food, clothing, and transportation. Every bit of support will go directly toward helping me secure a safe place to live, replace essential items, and regain some stability after such a difficult time.
