Excerpt: “Alejandro Cabrera Clemente, a 49-year-old criminal illegal alien from Mexico, passed away in ICE custody. His criminal history includes convictions for disorderly conduct, drug possession and probation violation and an arrest for domestic violence. On April 11, 2026, Cabrera was found unresponsive, staff at Winn Correctional Center immediately called a medical emergency and began life-saving measures. Emergency Medical Services transported Cabrera by ambulance to Winn Parish Medical Center (WPMC) for advanced medical treatment. Upon arrival at WPMC, medical staff continued resuscitative efforts. Despite life-saving efforts, at approximately 8:51 am, an onsite physician at WPMC pronounced Cabrera deceased. Cabrera entered the United States illegally and without inspection over 25 years ago. Cabrera also has criminal charges for domestic violence, failure to appear, disorderly conduct and a traffic offense, dispositions pending. Cabrera was arrested by ICE on Jan. 8, 2026 in Chattanooga, Tennessee and was transferred to Winn Correctional Center on Jan. 13, 2026. He was held in ICE custody pending removal proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review.”
